Debra wrote her first book! Titled "Meander Mesilla"
It is available on Amazon as both a paperback and e-book!
I can tell you - I didn't see this one coming. But once the idea was planted I knew that I had to create this one.
Blessed with the assistance from a freelance graphic designer; my first book has launched!
He took my manuscript, paintings and more and created something very special.
Honored, Humbled, Happy and Blessed!
What a delightful, stressful, educational opportunity.
I therefore did create a "series" category as there will be more books in the future.
Come! MEANDER with me!

"Climbing to the Sky" - won an Honorable Mention
on August 7th at the International Museum of Art in El Paso, TX
So very many lovely paintings in the show. The Museum is Amazing in and of itself. If you are in El Paso, drop in and see the show. It will be up through the end of August.
The Museum is on the corner of Montana & Brown streets in El Paso. I recommend you contact them for hours that they are open.
Please mark your calendar and plan to attend this month's Open Studio Event! My classes are underway with Milan and I believe you are really going to like seeing all the new paintings. The lessons are fabulous and the future is very bright indeed! Look for the blue flag at the driveway entrance. See you then! If you can't make it - simply call me and set a time in the afternoon to come by.
Just home from a week of painting en plein air in Tubac! The workshop instructor was Denyse Fenlon from Tuscon, AZ. She was teaching on the use of light and shadow, discussing the original Plein Air experts - like Claude Monet; they started it all. The Show will hang in the Tubac Center for the Arts until November 15th. Look for the "Plein Air Santa Cruz Show." I have 2 paintings there! 1. "Entrada a la Sancristia" - Tumacacori Mission and 2. "Nuggets" - from Pena Blanca Reservoir. The rock was bright gold that day. All entries are available for purchase.
I have entered 3 paintings in the show at the El Paso International Museum of Art for the month of February. The opening reception is this Sunday, February 9th from 2 - 4 PM. Hope to see you there. I took my paintings from Big Bend down to the show. They loved watercolor with no glass! She had not seen this presentation before. Come and see them - the show is up until Feb. 29th.
As we say good buy to 2019 and welcome 2020, I wish to extend a heart felt thank you to all of my patrons and followers. I thoroughly enjoy meeting all of you as you visit my studio and we meet at these plein air events. The New Year is looking very bright indeed! New paintings, new items, new opportunities are all on the horizon.
January 18th - I am doing a Studio Open House from 2 - 5 pm. Come on by and see my most recent creations! New Creations from VIDA should be arriving shortly too.
